You use it, you hear about it everywhere — but how well do you actually understand AI? And more importantly: what does it mean for you, your studies, and the world around you?
This course goes beyond the technical basics. Together, we'll explore the ethical, social, and regulatory dimensions of generative AI — asking the questions that often get overlooked: Who benefits from this technology, and who doesn't? What resources does it consume? How does it change the way we work, think, and create?
Over six sessions, we'll break down how generative AI actually works, look at how you can use it for your studies without compromising your scientific integrity, and dig into topics like bias, disinformation, and the EU AI Act. We'll also take a close look at what your university's own AI guidelines mean for you in practice.
By the end of the course, you won't just understand the technology better — you'll have developed your own informed position on it and a personal strategy for navigating AI in your academic and professional life.
